Heather Owens started drawing from the moment she could hold a pen.  The early influences on her work came from long hours outside without supervision, family camping trips, old science fiction and horror movies, and fantastic books and stories of all kinds.

She sees her works as a way to explore the relationships humans have with each other and nature.  The human condition is one of wanting to be known and to leave our mark upon the world.  Heather is interested in the way the small changes we make to the world around us can have larger and ever expanding influences.
