Artist and Maker
I think of all my work as being part of an interior landscape. I have within me my own world with its own locations and characters and rules. This place is where I can go to explore the physical world I live in. It gives me the freedom to take any issues that are weighing on my mind and present them to the world in a way that makes sense to me.
I'm largely inspired by nature, fairy tales, and horror movies. I find that the forest has a kind of dual nature, feeling both welcoming and home-like while other times it is dark and foreboding. Our personal dark places can become the internal forests where we house and confront our truest selves.
