Teens Papermaking Camp

This camp is an introduction to papermaking techniques using recycled paper and found materials in nature. We will learn how to prepare fibers and make pulp, pull and pour sheets of paper, color paper using easily available supplies, and more. On the final day students will have the option of making more paper or making a book using the paper made throughout the week. Please note we will be using a blender, small paper press, and needles (for hand sewing books) in this camp. The paper making process uses water and canbe messy, and we may work outside when weather permits, so all students should dress accordingly.

Camp meets daily July 8-12 from 1-4 pm in Studio 25A at McGuffey Art Center.
